Select the letter you wish to edit. On the left panel of Affinity Designer, find and click Nodes. This will surround the letter in several dots that can each be dragged, twisted, and expanded in different directions.

Step 2: Convert text to curves. Select your text and go to Layers > Convert to Curves or click the button on the top menu turn it into paths. Choose the text with the Selection Tool – top icon in the left toolbar. Then you right-click it and choose the Convert to Curves option.
