Welcome to the Barbie Riding Club, where every trail leads to a new adventure. Join Barbie at the stables, where you will choose and name your very own horse. Ride and jump your way through the hills and trails of the Secret Valley. Race against Christie and Teresa on your favorite horse. Explore every new trail to find hidden paths and surprises.
You can even follow the legend of a mysterious wild horse that roams free in the valley. Could the story be true? Kids feel like they are really riding a horse in this new addition to the Barbie CDs. Not only is it the best horseback riding simulation available to children, but it’s also the best of the Barbie titles released so far.
After signing in at the Riding Club, kids pick one of four horses who are waiting in the stables. After choosing names for their horses, children can head out to the trails, or stay and feed, groom and saddle their ponies. The program includes some nice options that keep things interesting. A bulletin board in the stable posts Adventure Missions. Children may be asked to find a key or other object hidden somewhere on the trails, or to follow a series of clues that lead to a wild horse.
Testers enjoyed the flower-sequencing and apple-sorting games but had trouble with a frog-hopping activity in which they must clear a path by jumping frogs over each other. The best part of the program is riding the horses. Using the mouse or keyboard, kids can easily ride fast or slow, stop, jump over objects and steer to the left and right.
A map takes them directly to points of interest on the trails, or kids can ride at their own pace to their destinations. Once in a while, one of Barbie’s riding buddies challenges children to race. Depending on how fast kids ride, they’ll win a first or second place ribbon. Older children enjoyed going on the missions and the younger testers loved to ride and race their horses.
The theme of a secret wild horse was very appealing to all, and kids were thrilled when they had a chance to spot it. Aside from wishing for a few more grooming options like mane and tail decor for their horses, testers ages three-to-eight loved the program and played it repeatedly.

Start in the stable where you pick, name, groom, tack and feed your horse using a simple point-and-click with the mouse.
Barbie helps explain what’s to be done and how to do it, along with a bottom-screen toolbar that explains functions such as using the pager to set up races with Christie and Theresa. The stable also gives you access to the bulletin board posting clues about the mystery horse. You can also start earning a Barbie Riding Club certificate by acquiring photos of various items scattered throughout the Secret Valley. Use your camera option to capture photos for the certificates and snapshots of your horse and Barbie to store in the Riding Club Handbook.
In addition to the pictures, the book also saves any certificates you earn, race ribbons, special awards, and contains personality information about the horses in the stable. Choose keyboard or mouse control for your horse’s speed, jumping, and direction. While riding, you share Barbie’s first-person perspective as the actual rider. When stopped, you can guide Barbie within individual screens in the environment.
Explore the trails on horseback, gain awards by searching out key objects hidden in the valley, and uncover the truth behind the Secret Valley legends.
A virtual pet option lets you feed, groom, and admire a miniature horse on the desktop without running the full game. Saddle up with Barbie and her friends at the Riding Club Choose and take care of your horse by feeding and grooming it Race against Christie and Teresa, and discover hidden trails.

I recently bought the game on ebay to relive some childhood fun, but I can’t get it to play? It seems to по этому сообщению correctly but when I open to play it the screen is black and the game is small and non responsive and I can’t get past the screen that says riding club, the game has a feature that let’s ur horse appear in your desktop, this feature works perfectly but the actual game can’t be played?
