Windows 10 has in-box drivers for the adapter and the controller. PROSet is supported on Windows 10, but not after v. Intel has drivers for my controller up to and including Windows 7. I can launch the driver installer in Windows 7 compatibility mode, and installation proceeds normally until it halts because “No Intel R Adapters are present in this computer,” which is quite obviously wrong, as I explained above.
If you know why the driver installer thinks that “No Intel R Adapters are present in this computer,” I’ll appreciate knowing the reason. When I connect the Ethernet cable from my Intel adapter directly to my modem, bypassing my router, I have zero problems accessing the internet. Driver and software updates aren’t planned for adapters with only in-box support. These adapters can’t be updated using automated or manual methods.
